I have a great family. A wonderful wife of nearly 50 years. Six kids, and seven grandkids.
Let me explain the six kids.
Bobbi gave birth to three girls who grew up to be strong, capable women and outstanding mothers.
Each became a mother with the help of the man that she had married. At least that's what they tell me.
After several years those men got tenure. I now consider them sons, not sons-in-law.
Talking to other people about my six sons and daughters without the -in-law qualifier confused some. So I decided to use a set of symmetric qualifiers.
The sons are SBM--sons by marriage.
The daughters are DBF--daughters by...um...fertilization?
So that’s the next generation. Three SBM and three DBF.
I’m a lucky guy.
